First time in my 13 years of travling (6 times a year) that I have stayed in a guest house and its a game changer. I've always stayed in hotels and never let the idea of a guest house cross my mind. But sweet stays has officially changed it all for me. Best choice moving forward... The location was excellent, close to shops, beach, Public transport, museums The room was spacious and enough for two people. The bed was comfortable with clean sheets and fluffed pillows. The communal areas were 10/10. Kitchen 10/10 Bathroom 10/10 Dinning area 10/10 Terrance 12/10 I was recommended by a local a nice cafe ( Petite cafe) (P.º de Tomás Morales, 11, 35003) which is about 15/20 min walk or a 7 min cab journey costing no more than €6.... After the first day we couldn't stop going. I definitely recommend dropping by. All in all excellent experience will come again. ☺

Casa Mamre is the best place to stay in Gran Canaria. Located in the barrio of San Fernando (built in the mid-19th century), it is a gem in the faceless hotel-lined Maspalomas. The location, amenities, room, kitchen, terrace, and transportation are simply excellent. Casa Mamre exudes an incredibly warm, friendly atmosphere, offering the opportunity to meet fascinating travelers, all thanks to the fantastic hosts Francesca and Francesco. The sound of Italian and Spanish languages during conversations was enchanting and remains in my memories.
