I had a great stay here! The room was super clean, comfy and even bigger than expected. The guesthouse is really close to the city centre and just a short walk from the beach :) Olga is an absolute angel, thanks for being so lovely and helping me with my massive bagpack! Gerald and Karen were excellent hosts. They would do anything for you. Room was excellent. Food was great and atmosphere was charming. We would highly recommend the barn owl to anyone. Best place we stayed on our holidays.

All the kindness and help from Steve and Joseph!! All the extras in our room, including s dressing gown, slippers, lots of snacks, a small bottle of complimentary sparkling wine in our fridge, facecloths, shower cap, etc. Delicious cappuccinos and breakfasts made to order Steve dropped us off at the Harbour restaurants, so we didn't have to find parking on a busy Saturday night. It took us about 25 minutes to walk home, but we could have ordered a taxi Wonderful packed lunch of sandwiches to order, yummy cake, a banana and a naartjie, and a bottle of water for £5. Exceptional value!! The delicious slice of cake each day in our rooms for us to eat (with a list of ingredients used). Carrying our heavy bags into and out of our rooms for us Using their cars to 'book' a parking space for us in the road next to Garway Lodge, as the 3 places inside their grounds were already taken. Extensive number of brochures in the entrance hall and help with planning our days' outings

What was there not to like, the owners go above and beyond, rooms were exceptional, food was great, will definitely be my first choice place to stay when returning to devon
