This was the best homestay we have ever stayed at. All the facilities are nice, well maintained and clean. The house is very nice as well, it has a lovely garden and the room we stayed in had a small balcony with chairs (perfect for a relaxing afternoon). Johnson made us feel right at home, and helped us arrange our backwaters tour. We did the village canoe tour and it was a really amazing and unique experience. The Homestay was a very family friendly environment, with lots of chances to socialise. Would highly recommend Johnson’s Homestay as a place to stay while you are visiting Alleppey!

The staff is very nice and helpful, even by a late hour. The location is great with not only a grocery store across the street but also some very nice clothes shops. I also liked how quiet the rooms are.

My stay at Peace and Love was lovely. The house is very cozy, and so is the female dorm. There’s a bathroom with a great shower inside the room, and the bed is comfortable. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it.

Wow, AMAZING! Very peaceful and relaxing. Lisa (host) really made us feel at home, with her kind and warm nature, not forgetting her tasty home cooked meals. Lisa was very helpful, booking taxis and our own river cruise of the back waters. Highly recommend if it’s Peace and Quiet you are looking for. Will definitely return one day.

Location is excellent if you’ve just done a houseboat and want a couple extra days around the canals. Staff are super helpful and will transfer you across the water whenever. You can also order food from Zomato and they will bring it over! The rooms were huge and clean with a personal outdoor space which overlooked the water. I recommend the sunset boat they offer where you can see the smaller backwaters

Safe, quiet and welcoming. Easy access to beach. Rooms spotless with quiet air con and plentiful supply of hot water. All rooms, including the communal areas have a lovely tasteful Boho chic vibe that the images do not do justice too. For once... a homestay that isn't photoshopped to death. You get more than you see. Sugar is kind knowledgeable and helpful.

I like everything about this homestay. We spend 2 nights there.. and our stay was very comforting. Location is perfect.... walk for only 2 mins and you will be on the backwater boating zone. More 10 min walk and u will be in the main market. The vibe of this house was so good.. and also the owner. I will highly recommand this.
