Guest Houses in Mawlynnong

It is the perfect homestay to experience how the Khasi people live traditionally. The host, Kitborlong and his family welcomed and took care of us like family guests. They live in a traditional Khasi Hut (exquisite and rare) with a sloping thatch roof, surrounded by natural beauty - including two waterfalls within their property! The accommodation has been made in the same traditional khasi style (by the host and his father who is one or few remaining experts who have that knowledge) with modern amenities for the comfort of the guests. The roof of the homestay hut from within and outside is a work of art. It has all the comforts travellers look for in a homestay with the added bonus of tasty home-cooked (mostly homegrown) food. Our 5 year old son enjoyed the feel of living in a sprawling farm with a loving Khasi family, feeding chickens and star gazing. If you enjoy star gazing - it is a perfect spot with clear night sky and a wide view. It was a wholesome experience, and we would recommend it as a must do while travelling at leisure in Meghalaya.

Just Love the Quietness of the Place.

The rooms were great. Everything was clean. The staff were very responsive and welcoming. The surroundings were beautiful. Ample parking space.

Location of the guest house is very much useful for different spots to cover up with in a short time.

Its wonderful place to stay for a night,with necessary facilities and owner is so helpful and nice person.
