Even though we checked in late, they wrote detailed information about the check-in in advance and were helpful. The breakfast included local products and was very good. Its location is very close to the glacier area. It has its own free parking spaces. You can get unlimited tea and coffee from the common area.

Great location, easy self check in process and very nice rooms with your own personal toilets and showers. Breakfast is great. I’d highly recommend staying here. The hotel up the road (7kms) is great for dinner.

Hotel is a very basic guesthouse (some plastic cables showing on ceiling of our room) but staff was very nice, they offer free coffee/tea/chocolate, location is convenient to glacier and nice view on the lake from hotel

Great location to explore the nearby glacier lakes, beautiful, clean new room with comfortable beds and great view over the valley. Communication with the guesthouse was great.

Great host, stayed up until 1 in the night to receive us. between green mountains, glaciers and sea. Truly a serene place. Best breakfast we had in Iceland

We booked Gerdi Guesthouse primarily for its location close to Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. The rooms were spacious and clean although our booking for 2 bungalows was delivered as two rooms in the main building. We did not see inside the bungalows to compare. The main building did have a nice common room for guests to use. We had a good dinner and breakfast at the attached restaurant but chose other cheaper options for subsequent meals.
