I’ve traveled all over Italy and very few places truly stick with me but this one will. A real gem. Tucked away in a tumbledown village surrounded by mountains, only 5 minutes from the sea and 30 minutes drive from the magical Basilicata coast. The location is only some of the appeal, the hosts Lidia and Michele are the real gems. The property is a project of love and a quest for slow living and I think they achieved it. Lidia went above and beyond during my very short stay to prepare a beautiful dinner. Considering I booked very last minutes in the off-season and as a solo traveler they couldn’t have done any more to look after me. One night is not enough. I will absolutely be back to spend some more time in this area and I will definitely be spending it here.

Beautifully decorated and spacious rooms in an meticulously renovated building at the heart of the lovely village of San Nicola Arcella. Very original style, with high quality materials and a lot of attention to details. Very light bedrooms, with interesting furniture and very comfortable beds, with great shower, toiletries provided, powerful hairdrier. We felt very welcome by the owner. Breakfast was all home cooked with locally produced ingredients and dishes typical from the region - an experience in itself. We loved staying at Suitetti Camere & Relax. There is plenty to do around the village, also during the off-season period, a gourmet restaurant/pizzeria just meters from the hotel (otherwise difficult to find places open in the winter), with great trails to hike or run, both by the coast or inland up the mountains.

Our stay there was exceptionnal. The view from the private terrace of the room was amazing. The breakfast was delicious with local pastries. They cleaned the room very fast on the morning while we were running. Nothing more to say, I highly recommend !
