A very nice place with japanese style rooms, you can find arashiyama station few walks away and arashiyama forest on the other side. Also the area is usually quiet. There is a river nearby and has beautiful view . I like the hospitality of the owner. She cooked dinner and breakfast for us for free. And took us for nearby places for shopping. She also helped us plan our route through different places in Japan. Much recommended. Try it out!!

The owner was very welcoming and responsive, which I truly appreciated. The room itself was lovely, with private shower and toilet. There’s also a kitchen available for guests. And I also enjoyed the pleasant incense on the first floor :)

I really enjoyed my stay here! Location is in a residential area, making it a quiet respite after a whole day of sightseeing, while still being conveniently close to the center. Breakfast was also tasty and kindly brought into the room daily. Emiko-san and her family were very welcoming and accommodating. She even gave me a ride to Kyoto Station on my last day and always checked on me daily to see how I was. Very kind family. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit!

The room was quite big and I loved having a balcony. It was very clean and comfortable. I enjoyed having a kitchen with a fridge, microwave and stove. And even a washing machine.

Spacious, nice apartment. Well equipped. Marutamachi station is near. Quiet street. We had the apartment on the ground floor. Street noise was OK, I slept well. We had the possibility to store our luggages. Staff was nice and helpful.

Really friendly staff !! Great location to explore Kyoto right 2 min walk from nishiki market and lots of shops and 10 min trains to lots of famous tourist sites . Room was clean and comfortable along with all facilities !!

This was a really sweet property, it felt special to be able to stay in a more “authentic” property and the location was also great for what we wanted to do in Kyoto. It was clean and well appointed, we really enjoyed our stay!

It’s in a quite area where you can reach there by bus only. Bus runs very frequently but it takes 1 hour to go to city. There are markets and restaurants. Some close early. Closest pub is 15 min by walk. Room is super cozy, they offer free bikes. There is venting machine outside.

This was the best booking in our lives, I really don't have idea how to describe staying here, because it was sooo fantastic! Morio and Yoshika were the best hosts ever. Breakfast was different everyday and delicious and healthy, they prepared tea and snacks every afternoon after our exploring. Morio also gave us a ride few times, what ment to us so much... Yoshiko washed our clothes and cuddled our children with sweets and cartoons. The house is also fantastic, 100 years old Japanese wooden house, we are not going to forget it, ever! Thank you 😍.
