Excellent host, jolly, helpful and warm-hearted, truly a delight to meet! Our host spent about 15min translating Kuroshiki's map from Japanese to English, depending on our wishes about touring the city. We were gifted the house' special peach syrup at our arrival, in addition to having a lovely coffee stand in the room. Their were plenty of other attentions provided to customers : we arrived in winter, and were provided wool coat to fight the cold. The bathroom was heated before we stepped foot in it. And the host helped keep our luggage a whole afternoon after our checking out. Thank you so much for hosting us !

Check-in process was seamless. Instructions were clearly provided. Room was tiny, but had all the necessary amenities including a family-sized washer/dryer combo. Kotatsu was extremely cosy especially in cold weather.

Our party of three had a very beautiful room with terrace facing the port/sea. All staff is very friendly and forthcoming. We had the best breakfast – and coffee! – of the entire trip.

Nice guesthouse in traditional Japanese style. The owner is very courteous and helpful. It is located in a very quiet and friendly neighbourhood, but quite far from the city center and the park and castle. Very clean, both the room (spacious) and the shared toilets and showers. Little kitchen well furnished (including fridges).

Torii-kuguru has a great vibe. It’s warm and inviting. Very low key and chill. The people are friendly and super helpful. The location is on an old fashioned shopping street with great food, coffee, and much more. Vintage clothes, vinyl, organic groceries and all kinds of independent shops. Great location for exploring Okayama.
