Beautiful traditional home with a full kitchen, lounge and bath. Located right on the Nakasendo trail. Staff went beyond to assist me in my journey and walking plans as well as with food and facilities... all were amazing.

That was probably the most authentic accommodation I have stayed in Japan. Jeng manages everything very swiftly. Dinner and breakfast are paid additionally but boy is it worth it! I loved the ambience of the guesthouse. It's charming and very traditional. You sleep on a futon. There is a shared bathroom but I had no problem with availability. I loved the view from my room. Thanks a lot for the great stay Jeng!

This was an ideal place to stay in Nakatsugawa. Location is great - 10 minute walk to train station/bus depot; grocery stores and restaurants nearby. Quiet residential street. Super clean and tidy! Host replied to my few questions quickly. Our room had plenty of storage. I appreciated the all cotton towels. Easy walking access to the Nakasendo Way for our day walk from Nakatsugawa to Magome. And especially delightful was the lovely woman who was our host.

Beautiful private house in a charming small town. The owner, like the rest of the locals, were overwhelmingly kind. Kanoko also left us some deer jerky from their hunting, which was absolutely delicious.
