Guest Houses in Battambang

I had a very nice stay at the Bar Ang guesthouse, the owners were very welcoming, took me out for breakfast as they don't prepare it there, and I also did the countryside tour with them, which was a great insight into a local life and beautiful views. The room was clean and spacious enough, and as there were no other guests at the time, I had a private bathroom with no need to share it.

Por Chey was the absolutely best value-for-money property I’ve ever stayed at. Each room seems to have a slightly different deco, they’re sparsely furnished but with everything one might need for a night or two, including complementary water. The owner was ready to do a room swap for me when, no fault of the property but due to the location (people, remember we’re in Cambodia near rural areas), I was greeted by some local fauna. Both rooms were equally clean, plenty of space, hot water in the shower (there’s no partition between the toilet and shower, but one only needs to be mindful when showering), solid mattress and good pillows. Service level was great: upon arrival, the owner arranged a tour with his trusted tuk tuk driver (if it’s trusted, there’s a good reason, the guy was a great guide!), my coach reservation for my trip back and a last minute dinner. The location is a bit further from the town centre than for other hotels, but still easy to walk (or just get a tuk tuk). Overall, exceptional stay indeed! Thank you!

Very friendly staf. Offering nice tours,very friendly tuk tuk drivers atvthe doorstep of the hotel. Only 8 dollars for a big and comfi room.

The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The staff are extremely nice and hospitable. I had a late bus and was allowed to leave my luggage a whole day after check out, hang out in the common area and even got a shower in the downstairs bathroom which was very needed after a hot day in Battambang.

It is near to some of the attractions and it was a quiet and basic place with very few tourists around. One could have a meal right there and it was cheap and good. The staff was helpful and tried their best to keep me comfortable.
