The location was lovely, across from the waterfall, and close to the start of Ella Rock trail. If you want a little secluded cabin in the wilderness, this is the place. We had incredible breakfast every morning, and they were so helpful and provided transport to town whenever we wanted. The service was outstanding and always with a smile! Highly recommend this place.

AMAZING !!! Best view in Sri Lanka , sit back relax, enjoying your breakfast or dinner overlooking Ella Rock, litte Adams peak and a waterfall perfect !!! Staff all wonderful and friendly, just a short stroll or a tuk tuk ride down into town. Came for one nite stayed 3. Will definitely come back to Ambiente guest house.

It's so unique. The room was comfortable and spacious for a family of four. The balcony was the perfect spot to chill with a book and some tea. Breakfast was yummy. The location was great. Quiet, yet near the main street with all the restaurants. Mr Laal and his wife were very hospitable.

Perfect location in a quiet street - close to the bus stop, a few minutes walk from the centre, near the trailheads of 9 arch bridge and Little Adam’s Peak (perfect especially for a sunrise hike). The Fantastic caretaker makes sure the guests feel welcome and is ready to help with anything! He Also prepares delicious local breakfast with fresh fruits. The property is clean and has a lovely balkony.

We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. It was a wonderful place with an amazing view. We wished we had more time, but we already had other plans. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly; he arranged our scooter rental and even picked us up from Ella train station. The free breakfast came with a beautiful mountain view, and if you’re lucky, you might even spot some monkeys! The room was clean and lovely. We’d definitely stay here again if we return to Ella.

I travelled to Ella with my wife for holiday. We found Grand Rock View to be a small, tranquil place with a great character. Our room with balcony offered us the views of the whole valley where the city of Ella is located, including the Ella Rock and the waterfalls. It was a pleasure to just sit there and watch the world go by in the evenings. The place was quiet, as it is located away from any main roads. However, the centre of Ella can be reached from there by a 5-minute walk on the nearby railway tracks (which is how people normally get around there). The host was great, helped us to orient ourselves for our hikes to the nearby hills and was bent to fulfil any of our wishes. He also recommended to us several interesting dining options in Ella. The breakfast at the resort was very good and enjoyable. We enjoyed our stay at Rock Grand View very much.

Really nice and helpful staff. Gave great recommendations of where to go. The bed was so comfortable best sleep in ella and gave a fantastic breakfast with incredible views. Saw an eagle from our room.

Gayan and his two brothers were the most gracious and fabulous hosts, and they run a very clean and comfortable hotel in the hills. Gayan very safely drove us around on a half day tour and picked us up from town after dinner on his trusty tuktuk. Room was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Delicious large homecooked meals by the host's mother. They are doing up the upper levels of the hotel for more rooms and an even better view!
