Jaya is the best host! Very friendly and kind, gave us many tips on Kandy and other issues in Sri Lanka. The room was clean and very modern, great shower, amazing view, close to the lake (10 minutes walk). A huge breakfast at the balcony, very tasty!

Seldom in all of my travels have I encountered a place so welcoming, comfortable, peaceful, with kind hosts and great meals at such a super affordable price. Staying here is a sheer delight, in a quiet neighborhood next to the Mahaweli River in an architectural home on four levels, with lots of space to be as solitary or as social as you care to be. And the home-cooked meals (breakfast was provided as part of the room rate) were simply exceptional, with generous portions and great desserts. Just an outstanding experience!
