What an amazing place. Host is the most welcoming person I've ever met, such an amazing human being! We booked for 5 nights and we extended another 3 because we felt like home. Everyday were preparing breakfast (and everyday is different, delicious and abundant, also with homemade juices). We also had few dinners in and food was stunning! He also arranged a motorbike, safaris and taxi at very reasonable price! We have no words to express how kind and caring they were with us. The place is very handy, close to beach and all the restaurants, clean and well take care of, also very quiet! We highly, highly recommend it! No hesitation! Looking forward to come back to here!

I've stayed in a few places in Sri Lanka, but Oasis was the absolute best! As someone who works remotely and loves surfing, I needed a place that offered privacy for Zoom calls and a cool atmosphere to relax. The common area where they serve breakfast (you can also have lunch and dinner there) is perfect for meeting new people, chilling, or getting some writing done. The place is awesome, and Riz, the local guy who manages it, is a total legend. You'll definitely meet like-minded people who are either staying at Oasis or hanging out in the restaurant area. The Wi-Fi is the best you can get in Arugam Bay, but for calls, I recommend getting a Dialog sim card (better reception than Mobitel). I had full 4G reception in the rooms and had no problems with conference calls with 8+ people. Each room has a table and chair, perfect for working, and the A/C is great. You can even work from your balcony. The breakfast is totally worth it, especially the smoothie bowls. The cappuccino and espresso are also good and included in the breakfast package! If you need any advice on what to do or how to get around, just ask Riz. He's a really cool and knowledgeable guy who speaks excellent English. I highly recommend staying at Oasis. I spent over a week there and made friends for life. And if you're a surfer, don't miss the "The Wedge" wave (5-minute walk) or Main Point (15-20 minute walk) in the bay. You can also grab a tuktuk for around $1 to other surf spots around Arugam Bay.

Spacious, comfortable, very clean rooms with fridge and safe, good airco, nice bathroom and terrace. Very well situated, just out off the busy centre, quiet and still only a few minutes walk to several good restaurants. Varied and tastefull choice for breakfast, good lunch and dinner on demand. But best of all is the kind and welcoming host Basheer who does everything to ensure you have a pleasant stay! He speaks very good English and can arrange different activities. He arranged surf classes for our teenage sons with experienced teachers at a good price who took them to the best surfing spots, lagoon safari, in-house cooking class and transport to our next destination. And the gentile tuktuk-driver Haroun was always there to take us where we needed! Thanks Basheer and Haroun for the nice time in Arugam Bay!

The kindness of the owner and the place was crazy good. One of the Best hotels in sri lanka probably. The owner helped with everything. I did a Safari in the early morning and he wake me up, organized some breakfast and was so friendly. Fantastic prices too. Owner is one of the good ones in this world. I love the name of the hotel too. :)

Location: The location is ideal.It's situated just a few hundred meters away from the main road (Potuvil - Panama) and the beach, giving you the best of both worlds. You get easy access to all the main surf points and town amenities, but you're far enough away to enjoy complete peace and quiet. It's the perfect tranquil escape after a day in the sun. The Room & Amenities: The room was fantastic—very spacious,spotlessly clean, and designed with comfort in mind. A peaceful garden paradise near the surf! Vinka’s place is a little piece of quiet garden paradise just a short walk from the surf spot! I loved the peaceful atmosphere, the lush garden, and how comfortable and clean the cabanas were. Vinka was super helpful and kind throughout my stay — always available if I needed anything.
