After 10 days backpacking around Sri Lanka, Maritime Nest was the perfect place to relax for a few quiet days. The cabanas are newly built, well equipped and very clean and comfortable. The gardens and pool are delightful and the food at Panchi restaurant is excellent. The breakfasts, in particular, are delicious and plentiful. Most importantly we were made to feel very welcome and were looked after extremely well. Madura, his family and great team of staff were fabulous hosts. Madura made helpful suggestions for local sights and activities and was always responsive to our queries. We particularly enjoyed visiting the local Turtle Sanctuary, a mindful and ethical way to experience these amazing creatures. The beautiful almost deserted beach can be reached via a short track and, whilst the sea is too rough for swimming, there is a delightful rock pool nearby. Very highly recommended.​ Thank you to Madura and his team of staff - we wish you every success with your new business.

The Lookout Lodge is simply amazing. It’s an oasis which has been developed with much love and care. The people running it are wonderful, the rooms are clean and stylish and the swimming pool is perfect. It’s a 5 minute walk to the (empty) beach and a 10 min walk to the turtle rescue center. It only has four rooms so it’s quiet and private. You have a unique view of the lagoon with all kinds of animals, and peacocks that love to use the roof of the lodge!

Absolutely amazing place, great service, and a beautiful garden. Place to sit outside and just chill. I was in the ground floor room, and it was great. Bathroom was very clean and nice. Bed comfy, there was a little table for work. I was happy. Upper floor room is even better, with extra small balcony and a huge terrace. But what is the best about is the owner and his family. His service and all the help was astonishing.

I really loved 3littlebirds! Indhika and his family are amazing hosts! Food is delicious.. i ate every meal there during my stay and always great!! The location is very beautiful and peaceful.. loved enjoying the amazing views and observing the wildlife there.. indhika is special! Man full of dreams and a bic heart that will make you feel home! We spent 4 nights here and it was a real pleasure for us. The room was big enough, it was close to the beach. Food was delicious. We could also prepare food for our baby in their kitcen. The family was super nice! It is great value for the price, I can only recommend!

I have been to many places and cities in Sri Lanka. and I can confidently say that this is one of the best hotels. here you feel at home. when you swim in the pool, beautiful peacocks walk around. then you can feed them. real unity with nature. Delicious homemade breakfast is served here. There is a beach nearby, I liked to walk there on foot. you can also go to the city by tuk tuk if you need to go to the store. it's a great place and great people. I want to go back there again! ❤️

The room was amazing! So clean! Lots of space as well! The beach is literally across the road. The family that runs the hotel were so friendly and made the loveliest breakfast. They also run a restaurant by the beachside called Hidden Pearl! Be sure to check that out. If you’re looking for a nice and quiet relaxing day away from busy places like Mirissa, this is the one!!! The views from their rooftop are super nice as well!!

Great location. Not too far from the city centre and only like 2 mins walk to the beach. The rooms are spacious and clean. The A/C works very well and good shower pressure as well. The host was very helpful. Gave me informations about the bus and waited with me till the bus arrived.

A lovely, helpful family host this new homestay. Great location only 2 mins walk to the wonderful Mawella beach. Our room was large and well equipped with air-conditioning, fan and mosquito net. There is a small private patio area outside the room and a larger shared terrace with a comfy sofa. Wonderful breakfasts made freshly each morning. Very quiet and peaceful at night. Highly recommended. Thank you so much for making us feel at home.

Right on the beach. Very quiet, comfortable room with good fan, aircon and nice beds. Room was really big too. Hosts were lovely. Had an excellent Sri Lankan breakfast each morning. Also the hosts arranged a very cheap tuk tuk to take me to my next destination.
