The hosts are an amazing family! This was the best guest house in Nepal I have stayed in, great value. The rooms and bathrooms are recently renovated, free filter water is offered and there is a communal kitchen. The view from the balconies and rooftop is beautiful! The location is less than a minute away from the central street.

I really felt at Home at Mountain House - both at the place and with the family. The family is very friendly, professional and creates a Home-like atmosphere. They helped me arrange my trekking in the Annapurna-region with an amazing guide. The food is excellent, the location is ideal if you want to be close to all parts of Pokhara lakeside but still have some peace, and the prices Are very reasonable. I booked three nights, but ended up staying all the nights I had in Pokhara. I can honestly recommend this place, and I will be blessed to come back one day.

Everything was perfect, Raj and his wife are the sweetest and most helpful hosts, giving good advice for trekking in the area or helping with everything possible. The house is lovely ad especially the garden. The location is right in the center near the lake but in the more quiet area with locals and lovely restaurants around (do try Sharmilla nearby). Great hot swater in the bathroom which is appreciated after days of trekking and laundry available on site. So I don't give ten normally but this family guest house really deserve it in terms of quality price ratio and the kindness of the hosts. Wishing you a lovely trip visiting family in New Zealand

Wonderful Guest House in the middle of Lakeside, located a couple of minutes walk from the shops and restaurants; clean, pleasant room with an excellent l shower (hot and plenty of pressure). The staff were very helpful and organised everything for me (trek, bus journey); fantastic value for money, was happy to stay an extra day after hiking.

A very romantic building, wonderful layout, large panoramic windows, a beautiful garden in the courtyard, perfect cleanliness and the best staff who help with everything. From the windows and from the roof you can see the Annapurna series, the lake begins 100 meters away, there are many shops, cafes and restaurants around to suit every taste. I hope to come back here again!

The owner met me on arrival and treated me great. When I asked for a quiet room, he set me on the quiet back side. Later 2 people checked in across the hall so he offered to move me to new room on a higher floor that just became available. His son even waited for me to pack up and insisted on carrying my bag. The room was very clean, the bathroom was spotless with tile and ceramic sink and toilet that looked sparkling new. Water was hot. The bed was bigger than a queen, probably a king. Mattress was thick and comfortable. It was the quietest night I've had in Nepal (no barking dogs!) and I slept great. I opted for dinner (Dal Bhat) which was excellent. The breakfast was also great. On checkout I was treated like a friend instead of a client. Totally pleasant experience.

This was my second time staying at Gorgeous Village Guest House and it's by far my favourite place to stay in Nepal. The location is amazing, food is delicious and the family that own the property are wonderful. I highly recommend staying here and look forward to my next visit.
