It was a last minute decision to stay here and it was a good one! Carlos was very helpful and responsive, storing my bag til the room was ready as I arrived before noon. He also oriented me to the beautiful building, gave restaurant recommendations and made sure I understood how the security system on the main door worked. I would gladly stay again!

It was an absolutely unique experience staying at 1720. The winery history, superb renovation of the winery buildings and the contemporary touches - refreshing natural water pool, the container bar and wine storage area, room amenities. Arthur goes above and beyond to make each guests stay enjoyable and comfortable. There are several indoor and outdoor areas to relax and a highlight for us was having dinner prepared by Arthur and Palmira and served with paired local wines.

Trovador Guest House is located in the historic center of Guimarães and offers comfortable suites just 1 km from the iconic Guimarães Castle. Wi-Fi is free in all areas.

Very nice building, old outside and new inside! The room was clean and had everything necessary, the bad was very comfortable, the breakfast, served on the ground floor by a very gentle lady, was aboundant and with all options. We really recommend the structure, and thank the kindest receptionist you can find!!

I can't speak highly enough about this place. The owners were extremely welcoming and helpful. The beds were very comfy.Added benefit of having a bar , restaurant . The breakfast was nice and the 2 home cooked evening meals we had were delicious, plentiful and well priced. There's a bus stop close to the hotel .But the owners rang for a taxi for us,which was 9€ in to the old town, which is beautiful. We also had free off road parking. I would highly recommend and I am already planning my next trip. Defo 10 out of 10.

We didn't get to the hotel within the check in hours, nonetheless the host was very friendly and helpful. The location and views are great. Spotlessly clean and a fantastic breakfast! Thanks for having us.

Location was perfect to all main activities/places we visited. The quality of the products and facilities were amazing. Hotel was spotless at all times. The decor was also exceptional - a lot of attention to detail. Security to enter the property was also very tight which we loved (made us feel safe). It is a smaller hotel with only 7 rooms which was very different but also very refreshing - hardly any voice and very peaceful. Thank you to Sarah and the team for such a lovely stay - we will be back!

Excellent upmarket property, within a short walk into the city centre. The property is very modern, we had a private room with an ensuite; also available there was a shared lounge room and a shared kitchen fitted with every modern appliance including washing machine and dryer. There was also an outside area with sun lounges which was a great place to sit back and enjoy a coffee. I should also mention that the place was super clean; and there is a major shopping distance within 5 minutes walk.
