This place is absolutely stunning!! It defenitely exceeded our expectations! Yes it’s a 15min drive on a gravel road but hey guess what!? You’re in south Africa! You don’t even need a 4x4, it’s so much worth the short drive when you see this hidden gem in real life. Pictures don’t do it justice! Everything was well maintained and clean, the hosts were very friendly and they offered us to join the braai since we didn’t think about bringing our own food. Would defenitely recommend this place to everyone seeking a beautiful and hidden spot!

Very friendly and accommodating. It was very hot in Oudtshoorn and they put the aircon on before we arrived so that we entered a cool room. Also checked in very late and they were more than willing to help. Room and beds were very comfortable.

A very attantive and helpful host, a beautiful garden with bar and pool. The whole accomodation was luxurious and far exceedid all expectation. Fantastic breakfast every day Very comfortable big bed, new towels, etc. in a spacious bathroom. After many years of travelling, this was one of the best accomodation.we had!

What a lovely place to stay in Oudrshoorn! It is in a great location right on the main street, close to restaurants. Our hosts were so friendly and helpful. We upgraded to a room with a king bed and porch and were just a few steps from the pool and our car in one direction and the breakfast area in the other. The breakfast had lots of choices, both hot and cold, from yogurts to ostrich sausages! They are prepared for load shedding with rechargeable fans and lights. The pool was refreshing after hot days.

Gumtree Lodge is located on the banks of the Grobbelaars River and features an outdoor pool surrounded by a large wooden terrace. It is 3 minutes’ walk from Oudtshoorn's shops and restaurants.

Gerry with a G, is a fabulous host with great coming skills and a mine of information, highly recommend Gumtree, wish we could have stayed longer .
