10 out of 10. Isabel and Pierre are just perfect hosts. The room and bed were both very comfortable, the breakfast delicious and the stay overall very pleasant. The room had a fridge with complimentary water and soft drinks, converters for european plugs, and a beautiful view towards the mountains - we got what we needed to mend two very tired travellers. So Swellendam is not an international hot spot. BUT if you are travelling the Garden Route, it can be a good intermediate stop. We were visiting friends, our group was too large so a family of 3 stayed here. Wonderful place, yummy breakfast, great accommodation - furnishing and amenities were to a high standard. Location was safe and close to some nice shopping and restaurants. close to nature walks. Hosts was very kind, helpful and pleasant.
