Craig was a wonderful host. We got lost heading there at night and he helped us get settled. His recommendations were also spot on and we managed to see all the wildlife in the area, whether in the trees on the property (koalas, Kimmy, Jimmy, and Ducky) or on the coast (dolphins).
Would highly recommend this property and any other the other CandE properties on the island.
Tips for travelling to KI:
- No small car hire even if your party is small - gravel roads for some of the prettiest locations.
- Get the KI tourist booklet at the airport - only Telstra gets connection, so the island map is a lifesaver.
- Definitely reach out to Craig for island recommendations :)

What a fantastic spot to come home to at the end of an amazing day taking in the sights and sounds of Kangaroo Island. Bright and spacious with great bushland views and a very comfy bed! Wedgetaildown was exactly what we were looking for. Betty and Peter were wonderful hosts.

A wonderful specious rustic accommodation. Set in the middle of bushland with beautiful water views. Kitchen is well organised. Plenty of towels available in the bathroom.
Just 25 minutes from the ferry and/or Kingscote, 5 minutes to lovely American River.
Situated in Penneshaw and only 1.9 km from Penneshaw Beach, Lindsays of Kangaroo Island features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking.
