The owner thought of every detail to make the guest feel at home during vacation from both the style and practicality. We loved that it had a coffee maker and milk in the fridge for our morning coffee. The 3-d map on the wall was a big hit for us! The chairs to watch TV were super comfortable as was the bed. There were blankets and pillows in the living room. Kitchen had everything needed and more like pot with boiled water. Great idea! They have very tasty tap water there. I would highly recommend The Sounds and hope to return myself. The view is spectacular!

Situated in Stanley, within 400 metres of Godfreys Beach, Hanlon Guest House is an accommodation offering sea views. This guest house features a shared lounge. Outdoor seating allows guests to sit outside and enjoy the good weather. I slept here for ten hours straight! It was incredibly quiet and comfortable. The location is excellent, very close to the penguin viewing spot. The internet connection is great, and I could log into Netflix on the TV to watch shows.

The stunning view, serenity and well appointed cottage was perfect. Only downside was we only had booked for 2 nights! A beautiful rain forest walk from the property, certainly well worth doing. Great BBQ facilities with an open fire and views as well as chickens and veggie garden where you could help yourself to in-season veggies and fresh eggs! Grant host - very welcoming 🙂

Paul was very friendly each time we chatted. We loved the view of the Huon River; day and night. The possums and pademelons visited the garden at night searching for food. Tasmania had a very dry summer.
