The main train station is 800 metres away and the closest bus station Adler is 50 metres from the bed and breakfast. Centrally located in the old town, lovely character in both the location and the property, beautiful views over the lake, quiet, lovely breakfast room with all we needed.

The Bären guest house offers easy access to numerous smaller Appenzell skiing and cross-country skiing areas, which can be reached within 10 minutes’ drive. Gonten Valley Golf Course is only 10 km away. Superbly run, very friendly owners. Super breakfast.

Beautiful property with a gorgeous spacious room. The staff was very friendly (even with a little language barrier); they were super helpful and kind.
