The kitchen had all the useful appliances I needed—dishwasher, fridge, microwave and stovetop—so it was super convenient to fix simple meals. Check-in was fully self-service, no need to wait around, which gave me a lot of freedom. One big plus: if you stay for 3 consecutive days, you can apply to the tourism bureau for reimbursement of your round-trip ticket costs. Highly recommend!

Came to stay one night for an early start ski touring. The room is well maintained, warm and functional. Comfortable bed, good shower. The hotel doesn’t provide breakfast but there is a common fridge where one can deposit their things (there is a numbered box per room inside the fridge) and free hot coffee and tea in the morning.

Gonten Valley Golf Course is only 10 km away. This was our second time staying here and we plan to continue returning! The couple that owns the guesthouse goes above and beyond, they are so sweet and hospitality is 10/10. Great decor, cleanliness, spaciousness, etc. Thank you!

It is a great location in the peaceful countryside but with easy access to Appenzell and all of the nearby lifts. Breakfast is included, and a lovely restaurant offers delicious meals. Corinne was a fantastic host.

Situated at the foot of the Säntismassiv Mountain Range and the Kronberg Mountain, the Landgasthof Eischen features a traditional Appenzell restaurant with a terrace, a spa area and was renovated in 2012. Beautiful property with a gorgeous spacious room. The staff was very friendly (even with a little language barrier); they were super helpful and kind.

Located next to the car-free centre of Appenzell, Adler Hotel is set in a beautiful traditional Appenzell-style building. It offers free Wi-Fi and wired internet access, a breakfast buffet, and a charging station for electric car. The service was brilliant, everyone was very kind and welcoming. Our bedroom had the most comfortable bed and the shower in the bathroom was very powerful. The room was cleaned to a very high standard and the toiletries were really lovely. Our bedroom looked out over the restaurant and we left our window open during the night to hear the water flowing I'm the river opposite. Appenzell itself is so pretty and everyone is very proud both of the hotel and the local area. Breakfast was also delicious. We would come back Thank you so much for looking after us
