This hostel has so many wonderful qualities. We stayed in a private room with an en-suite bathroom, which was perfect for the three of us. The beds were clean, neat, and very comfortable, and the WiFi worked flawlessly. The location is unbeatable - right in the heart of the city, making tour pickups incredibly convenient since everything was so centrally located. Although we missed breakfast for the first two days due to early tours, the staff went above and beyond by arranging packed lunches for us. They even proactively reached out via WhatsApp, which was such a thoughtful touch. I’ve honestly never experienced such excellent communication from a hotel before. The staff are always smiling, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help. After long days of exploring, it was the perfect place to relax and recharge. The water refill station is a great added bonus, and their restaurant, ROOTS, offers some truly delicious menu options. If you’re too tired to head out for a meal, you can simply step outside your room and enjoy amazing food and outstanding service. Highly recommended!

Lovely atmosphere here! Only stayed for 2 nights having not enjoyed or been able to sleep in another hostel. The 4 bed dorm was perfect and comfortable with good storage. A good kitchen with lots of herbs and spices and oil to use (which is always a pleasant surprise). The pool was great too!

Everywhere was clean, the property was central to San Pedro & Carmen & her family were delightful. They could not do enough for us even with the difficulty of speaking different languages. We really relaxed there, ready for the early starts on a lot of the different trips. Carmen let us leave our cases with her whilst we went in a 4 day trip to Uyuni. Thank you Carmen. She also found out about the local bus service to Calama. Take a tip. This bus was so easy to catch, quick & extremely comfortable. Much better than a local transfer. The buses run roughly every hour.

Very close to the middle of town (2blocks walk), but far enough away to be tranquil and enjoy views of the major volcanoes. The staff, esp Mayrita, were so helpful and friendly. The room and need was so comfy. Clean sheets and towels every two days was so nice and fresh.

The host (Rudi) was wonderful. Communication was excellent. We used Whatsapp because my Spanish is not good. The room and rest of the hostal was well kept and clean. We really enjoyed our stay, and we liked it was a short walk from the central roads. We are also very grateful that we were able to leave a suitcase behind when we realized our multi day tour to Uyuni would not let us take both suitcases. Highly recommend Hostal Qachi Chentura.

Great location and nice facilities to relax. Small communal kitchen with some complementary coffee, tea, cereals. Room was comfortable and clean. Great location.

Everything ! Nayira was so amazing with us, everything was so clean , big spaces, great recommendations about where to eat and what to do, staff was amazing. We had couple of early tours (6 am ish) and they asked us if we wanted snacks for take away , since we would miss breakfast at the hostel. So good

Το Hostal Ayni παρέχει καταλύματα με κήπο, βεράντα και δωρεάν WiFi. Hostal Ayni lived up to expectations. Just what I was hoping for. I stayed in a private room with a shared bathroom. The room was clean, spacious enough to layout my things, had a very powerful tabletop fan (which can be needed some nights), and had a comfortable bed with a very warm comforter for those cold nights. The location of the hostel is an advantage to others because it is easy walking distance to the center of town, which makes it quiet and peaceful away from the noise but not too far either. There is a big open kitchen for use with all the amenities needed, a fridge, stove, and ample seating inside and outside. There is a lot of seating outside and two hammocks to hang out or have meals. This allowed all the guests to not feel crowded around each other. There’s a tienda very close by (a few metres) that comes in handy if you need something quickly (water, snacks, etc.). The hosts were very accommodating to all requests for the 5 days I stayed there. They even allowed me to stay a little longer than checkout time to align with the pick up time for my shuttle to the airport. The bathrooms are cleaned daily so there was always a welcoming bathroom to use after a full day out. It is not your typical hostel feel but more like living in a home, which is good because it attracts more mature guests and keeps the place quiet. I highly recommend this place.

We loved the decor and our room was comfortable with good linen. All areas were spotlessly clean and the room was tidied each day. Location was only 15 minute walk into the centre of town. A light breakfast was served and you could have a snack bag if leaving early.
