We stayed 2 nights in the Garden Room and an additional night in the Suite (as the Garden Room was pre booked). Both were lovely and spacious. Helpful host who speaks English. We took a jeep at 9.00 a.m. from the square to Salento from where we booked another jeep to Valle de Cauco to walk the 5 hour loop which was fabulous! We booked a taxi to return to Filandia from Salento rather than hang around for a jeep which are not frequent in the afternoon from Salento to to Filandia. We think Filandia is a much nicer base than Salento! El Coqui recommended for breakfast and dinner.

The hostel is in a nice part of the city where you can walk to shops, stores, bars and restaurants on the nearby main strip.

An American breakfast is available at the guest house. We had a very quiet room at the back with our own covered patio and view of the garden. Daniella our host was amazing. Friendly, attentive, helpful and patient with our poor Spanish.
