All rooms at the accommodation have air conditioning and a wardrobe. Nice breakfast. The area was a very nice village, and a perfekt area for spotting wildlife. Gloria was so nice, and Ashley was a great guide!

Situated in Puerto Viejo and only less than 1 km from Negra Beach, Kalawala features accommodation with city views, free WiFi and free private parking. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. It is possible for guests to sit outside and enjoy the property grounds. We loved the closeness to town and the bakery, as well as the discount at the bakery. It was a very cozy spot and the bedrooms were great and very comfortable.

Yellow cottage was fantastic with the big covered porch. The owners Marise and Peter wonderful and so helpful with taxi, tours. It is like a nature preserve.

It is coral, so not a beach for swimming - but Playa Negra is a beautiful black sand beach a mere 10 minute walk away - excellent for swimming. We had the air conditioned rooms with floor to ceiling windows looking out at the jungle and ocean as well as a lovely swimming pool. The back courtyard not only a few steps from the ocean, but also full of hammocks and wildlife, daily visits from howler monkeys and tons of birds. A beautiful place to relax. The breakfast was delightful, the staff friendly and helpful. Very clean and very close to everything in town. Many delicious restaurants within 5 minutes walk. The national park, hiking and snorkeling all within a few minutes walk. We LOVED this place and can't wait to go back.

The bungalow was well supplied, and just a perfect place to enjoy nature and to chill out. We kayaked to the ocean and watched sloths in the trees. I would highly recommend this property.
