A perfect host! He is very kind and helpful! The house is really clean and minimal but it meets all your needs. The heating is very good, usually the biggest problem in such places is the toilet and bathroom, but here it meets all your needs with very clean and quickly heated water. When you look out of the window in the living room of the house, there is a view that gives you a real sense of calm and charm. It is located on a very quiet and peaceful street, 5 minutes by car and 25 minutes by foot from the village of Santa Claus. It was an experience that made us feel like locals away from the tourists. A feeding area was created in the forest so that we could see the squirrels and rabbits. So we had the chance to see wild rabbits and squirrels from the living room window. It was very nice, we had a good rest. It is a place we will prefer again.

Super cute and cozy. It was clear the owners put in effort to make it a charming stay and we loved it. Our hosts were super friendly and helpful and we would absolutely recommend staying with them. I forgot my soap in their shower and they went above and beyond to meet me in the city center on our journey back south to return it. We liked that the location was a little outside the city center, but everything is super accessible due to the proximity to the bus line and the walking paths into the city (about 40-50 minutes walking). While totally out of anybody’s control, we got to see the northern lights the first night in town which added a little extra magic to our stay.

The location was really good considering that we rented a car and wanted to be off the main city. We could easily drive around to the waterfalls and Ranua zoo. The room was spacious and comfortable and we also enjoyed the sauna! The host is friendly and gave us good tips on what to visit in the area. It was also a great spot to catch the Northern Lights without having to travel anywhere else, but that was also a good dose of luck :)

I really liked the kitchen; it had a complete set of tableware and cookware, and even included seasonings. The facilities worked well. The house was very spacious, and both the bed and sofa were very comfortable. The landlord was very kind and provided a lot of assistance! Although the location was somewhat remote, there were forests and other places nearby to explore. The landlord even provided a small sled, which was adorable.
