The property is soundproof and is located 49 km from Lascaux. Very clean. Had everything we needed and water and fruit juice in the fridge was a nice touch. We would have liked ‘proper’ mugs as the small tea cups are too hot to hold when filled with hot drinks so we bought two and left them in the cupboard. Superb value and superior to most hotel rooms.

We loved the experience of staying in a centuries-old listed building and discovering aspects of it's history and architecture. Having a great breakfast in a dining room steeped in history was memorable. Secondly, Paul and Melissa were fantastic hosts and it was wonderful to get to know them. Meeting them added to the whole wonderful experience of staying at Le Chateau. If they invite you to chat with them over tea, grab the chance!

Outdoor seating is also available at the guest house. The accommodation was excellent, and the building was in wonderful condition. Beautiful tree lined driveway giving a very warm welcome to the property. The hostess was very helpful, and very friendly. She made a point of seating everyone at breakfast so that everyone could converse with each other to discuss their vacation.

You really need a car to stay here and we had to depend on taxis, but the owner gave us a ride twice, which was very kind of them. We were recommended to go to the wolf park and it was amazing. Such a relaxing, comfortable stay. The owners enjoy being around to chat at breakfast and I enjoyed this very much to improve my French and learn more about the area. I would definitely like to stay again.
