The stay was wonderful — the rooms were warm, clean, and tidy. The showers were new, with hot water and of course very clean. The hosts were amazing — they picked us up from the town of Iprari to the guesthouse, and the next day drove us to continue our route. The food was excellent, and the family was so kind and pleasant. They also offer transportation from Ushguli to Mestia at a friendly price and with great service. We had an amazing experience!!

Location, also I was there in the kitchen around breakfast time and they lady had laid out breakfast for another table.. and when she saw me there.. she gave me some breakfast too.. I booked last minute l.. literally 3 mins before I went to old town because the place i booked told me when I arrived that they did not have water.. the lady was waiting for me on such short notice.. I was so grateful. .. the cows grazing and the sound of the river were a delightful rural life experience

The breakfast was amazing, lots of food and everything was delicious

The rooms are spacious and clean, Theona is a wonderful host and the location is perfect, if you prefer quiet nights and beautiful walks. We had a great time and even returned after a short detour to Ushguli. Highly recommend this place!

The hosts are beyond welcome, the hostess cooked a delicious dinner and served home wine (the orange wine is a masterpiece, bought a bottle for my dad). At night you see a sky full of stars and in the morning you wake up to 🐓“singing” We decided to stay here again when driving from Svanetia.

Very clean and well located modern guesthouse. The host is lovely and the rooms are tastefully decorated. Location is ideal, being in the centre of Mestia and only a 3 min walk from the bus station.

We had a very comfortable and spacious suite. This gave us space to relax and enjoy the view. The beds and bed linen were very comfortable. The owner and staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony to watch the sunset. There were no glasses or cups in the room but these were supplied happily when requested. The breakfast was absolutely excellent, delicious and varied slightly each day. It was a very welcoming and comfortable stay in Mestia. If we are lucky enough to return to Mestia one day, we will definitely stay at Galash-R again.
