This Homestay is conveniently located 15 minutes from the airport, where Windee found me at Information, who had called me to inform them that I was stranded. He stayed to locate another guest while his son drove me straight "home". They fed me three beautiful meals a day 😋 during my stay and, the next day, gave me a 2 hour tour of Denpasar on a scooter! I saw the Traditional Balinese Market and toured a temple with a private guide while Windee waited patiently for me to absorb the culture! Then he dropped me off at a spa for a kickass massage! I stayed 5 days. The family adopted me, and we became good friends! His brother took me to Ubud, where I viewed a Balinese Dance/Play and I bought some Batik from the finest vendor on the island! The family temple is over 500 years old and is fully restored! Windee showed me his artwork, which is FABULOUS and also for sale! The room was freshly painted with a nice shower and balcony overlooking the Bay, where many colorful boats bobbed peacefully in the water. The rooftop view is SPECTACULAR with the spiral wooded staircase providing access. The grounds are lush with many artistic embellishments by the family. Sawinda, his wife, is a fantastic cook, and my meals were brought to me by their daughter Winda, beautifully prepared and with generous portions! The air conditioner kept me comfortable in my room, and it was super 🤫 quiet! I felt rested and rejuvenated from my trip from Thailand, where I'd spent two months. They also arranged for deluxe transport to Chandidasa from Ubud after I spend a week here. All of this came at insanely affordable price, and I will definitely return upon my departure for a good night sleep before I head to Viet Nam! Hope this helps my other intrepid travelers! Breakfast was good and overall this was a perfect, relaxing spot, made even better by the hospitable and kind nature of the hosts.

At Puri Kesari Guest House, the family-friendly restaurant is open for dinner, lunch and brunch and serves Asian cuisine. This property exceeded our expectations. Location was what we wanted - easy walking distance to beach and access to a variety of shops and supermarkets. Room was very clean and large. Although the view was facing the fence, there was a lot of greenery and it didn't bother us at all. It was very quiet (it seems everybody was aware that the doors easily slammed). Breakfast was fine and so was the food we ordered for lunch/dinner. Excellent value for money. Would stay here again
