The staff are so nice, they do their best to look after you. The breakfast was also the nicest breakfasts we had in Indonesia. The hostel is so so clean, the rooms are really nice, clean and comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay, it was clean, cozy and nice to be outside of the main centre but with easy access by foot or grab.. The hosts are very nice and they even gave us little Indonesian pancakes for breakfast which was a nice surprise.

Best of all, Rolly and Lala ensures you have the perfect stay and does everything they can to help. It's a guesthouse, so as long as the expectations are accordingly, you won't regret choosing this for your stay.

It is out in a rural area well outside the city. Very peaceful and relaxing. Room was super clean and air conditioned with a large bathroom ( no a/c) and mini bar. ( Beer and cokes only) It has a small but good restaurant ( reserve meals in advance) and a lovely garden and pool. Looks out on rice fields with birds and nature all around. It is close.to a mosque and you can definitely hear the call to prayer. It added to the atmosphere for us and they turn down the loudspeaker for the 4am call to prayer!. You can borrow the bikes and ride through the working rice fields leased from the sultan. You certainly get to see authentic rural Javanese life but its not for those who want any kind of nightlife! Beer available but no wine, so bring your own if you want to relax over a glass while getting your authenticity!

Villa Sambal is located at a peaceful area with easy access to art workshops, cafés and restaurants. The house has a beautiful garden and lots of green plants at every corner. But the best part is Ms Herni and her assistant Lina’s hospitality. They cook delicious Javanese food and gave great advice on exploring Jogya. I feel home when I am with them.

We stayed in via via guesthouse and it was the best experience. The crew is so friendly and welcoming and they were always there whenever we needed help. They helped us so much with planning our trip to Borobodur temple and Pranbanan temple. They helped us with figuring out the train and bus system so we could have the best trip possible. Even if i forgot my shoes after we left the guesthouse they were so kind to help me get them back. They arranged everything so send my shoes to Surabaya with the post. Literally my heart was so full of the kindness the crew gave me. The guesthouse is very beautiful and calming to stay. It was also clean and comfortable. The garden was very quiet and pleasant to sit and spend the night. Definitely recommend!!!

They were always helpful at every step, making our holiday not only easy but truly memorable. Thanks to their guidance, we discovered delicious local delicacies and enjoyed amazing activities around Yogyakarta that we would never have found on our own. Without them, our trip would not have been nearly as fun or enriching. They are some of the kindest people we’ve ever met, and we feel so blessed to have stayed with them. We cannot wait to come back and visit again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an unforgettable experience! 🙏✨
