It’s on one side of the Mahabodhi temple and there’s a direct path behind the temple without the craziness of the Main Street. It’s only a 5-minute walk to the temple/Local Market/Restaurant/Post office . Plenty of places to eat around and you can get tuktuks right outside the hotel. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They even helped me book a reliable taxi back to the airport/Market. They always made sure I was comfortable and were willing to help with anything. Highly recommended!!!

The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk, full-day security and luggage storage for guests. We had a great stay at Nilam Guest House! We arrived very late (around 11:30 pm) and Sumit kindly waited for us. He helped us exchange money and told us where to get SIM cards the next day, which was really helpful after a long trip. The room and bathroom were very clean, the Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and there was hot water too. Sumit and his family are truly wonderful people — kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. We felt at home from the very first moment. Thank you so much for everything! 🙏✨

The bed was medium to firm and comfortable. The bed also has mosquito netting. The bathroom is basic and functional, but very clean. The standard of cleanliness is almost Japanese throughout the house. There was a desk and chair to work on with many electrical points. Room had AC and ceiling fan, but the latter was sufficient in February. The room also had a balcony. Laundry facilities. The owners are an amazing family who can communicate in English, Hindi and Japanese.
