We were able to catch up with a little work as well as get a great night's sleep. The neighbourhood was quiet and peaceful and there were many shops nearby. Tomaruku was an excellent choice and we would love to return one day in the near future.

Set in Ino, 28 km from Odo Dam Museum, そらやまゲストハウス Sorayama guesthouse offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. This 2-star hotel offers a shared kitchen, room service and free WiFi. The hotel provides a hot tub and luggage storage space. We were anxious about the accommodation being close to the road, but it was not an issue at all. Our bedroom balcony extended over the picturesque riverbed. The guest house has recently been renovated in a tasteful, thoughtful manner. We have stayed at accommodations of all budgets, from private multi level ocean front houses to places like this with shared bathrooms. We loved our stay here, there were ample bathrooms, they were modern and immaculately clean, we enjoyed meeting other guests and finding out tips on where to go. The hosts David and Yoshiko are amazing. The Family Mart next door was handy for snacks. Our two teens enjoyed as much as we did the Ramen restaurant and Izakaya close by. Two nights here was not enough for our family of four ( two teens, mom and dag )

Guests at the guest house can make the most of yoga classes offered on-site. The area is popular for cycling and hiking, and bike hire is available at Guesthouse boro-ya. Outdoor play equipment is also available for guests at the accommodation. The house is beautifully nestled in the woods, the scenery (even from the bathroom!) is amazing! There's a lot of space and the rooms are comfortable and cozy, the hosts are great and super helpful, and will give you amazing advices to explore the surroundings. Do yourself a favour, avoid the super touristy hotels of the area and stay here!

The property is set 14 km from John Manjiro Memorial Monument, 14 km from Kongofuku-ji Temple and 14 km from Hakusan Shrine. Ashizuri Underwater Aquarium is 16 km from the guest house and Tosa Seinan Daikibo Park Wampaku Hiroba is 29 km away. I had a good night's rest in this Guest House in Iburi, after a long hiking trek from Shimanto City. The bed was comfortable with plenty of room for my things and the facilities were neat and clean. The shared area had a homely feel to it with free hot drinks provided. Also a bar for Alcohol Drinks. No shops in the immediate area however I believe Dinner and Breakfast can be provided on request (I did not partake). I am doing the Shikoku Henro Pilgrimage and as it turned out, it was the ideal spot from which to visit Temple 38, Kongōfukuji, down the coast to Cape Ashizuri. A long trek there and back the other side to TosaShimuzu (about 15 mins away by bus) was just about doable in a day. By bicycle would definitely be easier/faster as it is relatively flat. The route has stunning Coastal Views and the Temple is impressive. The Guest House owner was friendly and kind and stored my heavy rucksack for the day so that I could travel light. Price was great value too, especially so close after Golden Week.
