The place is wonderful, brand new, super clean, perfectly equipped, comfy beds, nice kitchen and an awesome rooftop terrace. You need a car in Ishigaki anyways, so the location with car is perfect, away from the touristy city in a quiet lovely area, few minutes drive from Kabira bay and the secluded beaches! A well maintained garden with patio, sea shell decorations and a passion fruit tree:) Absolutely recommend the place!

At the guest house, the units come with bed linen and towels. I love the atmosphere here and how helpful the owner was. It was 8 min to the centre of town so the location was wonderful!

Guest House Ishigaki is a beautiful, extremely clean, and well-designed house equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The Farmer’s Market and tons of great shops and restaurants are a stone’s throw away, as well as the ferry to other nearby islands. We really appreciated Andy & Haruko’s attention to sustainability throughout, and their thoughtful touches, like the cold jasmine tea in the fridge at all times to cool down from the heat. We had let them know in advance that we would be working remotely and they even created a desk space for us in our room. And the beds were SO comfortable - we had the best sleeps here of our 2 months in Japan. Though the location and amenities were amazing, the best part about our stay was undoubtedly the people; Andy, Haruko and Yuichiro are some of the loveliest people who genuinely care about their guests. We could not have wished for anything more!

It used to be run as a hostel, but is now calmer while still having great facilities (washing etc) It was scrupulously clean. We had a very spacious room with amazing sea view and birdsong, you hear nature all around. There's pickup from the ferry and Kiyoki helped with recommendations for snorkeling and kayaking tours. Be sure to book dinner, it was amazing! (We nearly booked a cheaper "partner offer" which would not have included dinner and breakfast)

The staff is super friendly and sweet. The breakfast was delicious and the lady even changed it up a bit every day and was happy to make it vegetarian for me. Also the view was beautiful. The bed is very comfortable and room had everything you need. There's a fridge you can use as well. The location is very quiet, I was able to get around by foot and public transport. There's also a bike rental in town, just don't expect much.
