For us, the location was great: a little remote, but only 5 minutes with tuk tuk to the centre. You can also just walk :). Amazing breakfast options with reasonable prices (we tried 5 different options). If you don't like the sounds from outside (roosters, crickets, dogs barking...), earplugs are a must.

You can play billiards at the guest house. Absolutely loved everything here. The free pool table, cheap but delicious breakfast (good coffee and fresh orange juice) and the lovely owners. Also everything in the room was amazing; comfortable bed, spacious room, hot shower and little fridge.

The room is cleaned daily and to be honest it seems like they changed bed sheet daily too. INCREDIBLE CLEAN - great breakfast : eggs different ways or pancakes - coffee, teas or smoothie all serviced with daily fresh fruits. Once again well presented and clean - great help: assisting with bookings, scooter rental for only $7 a day directly from the Guesthouse. Laundry $1 per kilo, ready on your door the next day - great location: close to the main area but is a quite spot - amazing team looking after, run by a family. Very lovely and helpful Negative: Nothing to do with the Guesthouse itself. The bloody trumpet at 5am from the nearest military base it is incredible annoying. It goes on for 30 min. I feel bad as this can bother many guests and turn them away. But the place it is so lovely and deserves to be booked every day for the amazing effort they put. Thanks for having us 😀

German restaurant was great for breakfast. About 1.5 km walk into the centre of town, but easy to get remorque or tuk-tuk via Passapp app for a very reasonable price. Host has very reasonable & good motorcycle scooters for hire too.

Continental and Full English/Irish breakfast options with warm dishes, local specialities and pancakes are available. At the guest house, the family-friendly restaurant is open for dinner, lunch and brunch and specialises in African cuisine. We stayed as a couple for 4 nights. It’s a bit out of the city center but no problem at all, you can easily call Grab Tuktuk or rent a Motobike at the accommodation for an affordable price. We were amazed by how clean our bungalow was. And the owners were super friendly and helpful.

Dickens , the owner, was most helpful and polite. I thoroughly enjoyed my brief stay at Ta Eng Guesthouse and wish I had stayed there before. The location is in a quiet part of town and around a ten minute walk to the Durian roundabout. I would like to thank him for all the drinks he gave me as part of the Chinese New Year festivities !
