Sister of this house was so welcoming me and had a little bit of conversation. also when i asked for the mosquito vapour the manager bought it. People there were nice to me. what even more wonderful was the room, with good facilities and special design.

While a little on the small side, our room was very comfortable, good value for money, and the A/C was quiet. Delicious breakfast prepared with great care each day. Our host was so nice and helpful and welcoming. Could not fault one thing. The Tide’s Tale high score is well deserved.

Paula, Rodulfo and the complete staff are the best hosts you can imagine. They do everything to make you feel right at home and become part of their Ohana, their Family. The property is the best we have seen during our stay in Sri Lanka. This level of hospitality is hard to find in this country; they clean the rooms everyday, the breakfast menu is amazing and tasty (from overnight-oats to avotoast and chiapudding!), the pool is very clean and well maintained. They help you with everything you need to find your way in Ahangama and experience this town on its best! We had surf classes every day, absolutely the best and most complete classes we have had. You learn everything about the physical movements, coordination on the board and different types of wave patterns, this helped us improve our surf skills quickly. Every class ended with feedback photo analysis to personally improve more and more every day. Definitely worth the money and really recommend taking Rodulfo’s classes, even if your not staying at their hotel. The only hard part was leaving Ohana since extending our stay wasn’t possible, everything was fully booked and we understand why! We booked another hotel in the same street but were still welcomed at Ohana, this shows us how heartoriented these owners are. Very thankful for this experience!

At the property, there is an in-house family-friendly restaurant serving dinner and a selection of vegetarian options. The location was perfect for a beach escape and not too far from shops plus restaurants. The pool also added something special for the place. The staff, especially Rasindhu was really helpful and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this place. 😊

Set in Hikkaduwa, 100 metres from Narigama beach and 17 km from Galle International Cricket Stadium, Alvas house offers air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. With garden views, this accommodation provides a balcony. Outdoor seating is also available at the guest house. Susanna and Tusharo (please excuse me if I’m misspelling the names :) were wonderful hosts. Welcoming and informative. It really felt like our own house. Spotless clean, equipped with everything a traveler needs, beautiful nature around, a garden well kept. Another great thing is the hosts really care about animals and Tusharo shared fascinating information about the connection local people share with the sea turtles (we got lucky and swam with them). The beach has some great surf. Would love to come back and stay more.

At the guest house, some units are soundproof. My experience at Saman's place is the best beach stay I ever had in my life. It is the perfect place for beach lovers. The property is just 2 Km away from Galle. The beach is in front of the room, there is a patio and with a table and chair, giving a beautiful view while having meals. The place also has sunloungers and a shower area. Saman was really helpful and accommodating, he arranged a scooter at a reasonable price and gave the best recommendation for food and beaches around. We had a really delicious breakfast and it was a lot, prepared by Saman's wife. I highly recommend the place.
