Definately one of the most underrated places in Sri lanka. If you are in doubts - you definately should go there. Peace, silence, nature, ocean, turtles, amazing people - this is Rekava. Lookout lodge is excelent accomodation - new house, all clean and comfy, perfect location near the beach and turtle watch center. Good restaurant nearby (reccomended by Chami). Excelent breakfast and peacefull conversations with owner. We felt like home there and all our wishes were fulfilled with smile. And - there is a pool now - we where the first users and it is great. Appriciated by our boys. Sorry that we booked just 2 nights there, would have liked to stay at least a couple more days. Hidden gem in the sri lanka, we received a welcome coconut and also a leaving drink. The owners are so kind!! They arranged a safari for us for 16400 rupees (54€) and it was awesome, it included a huge breakfast in the middle of yala national park. You also get a coffee/tea and bananas before the safari starts.

Beautiful accommodation close to beach. We loved staying here and would have stayed longer if the weather was better. The rooms are so clean and modern. Set in a jungle with beautiful plants and shrubs. The hosts Dumee and Dulloo are both really nice and friendly and were always there to service our needs or just have a chat. They cooked us an amazing dinner with grilled fish and salads and breakfast was also very fresh and satisfying. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay somewhere close to the Turtle Hatching beach nearby.

We stayd here with baby and everything was excellent :) beach is about 80m, which is top of sri lanka for us.

He sent us the bus schedule from Ella to Tissa, he drove us around the lake to see crocodiles and birds, and bats at a late time, he also arranged the safari in Yala for us for a great price, and prepared an early breakfast before leaving at 4:30. He drove us with his tuktuk when we needed to catch the bus to Tangalle and checked that we had successfully arrived. The room was also cozy and the location of the hotel is not far from the main road.
