The gardens and pool are delightful and the food at Panchi restaurant is excellent. The breakfasts, in particular, are delicious and plentiful. Most importantly we were made to feel very welcome and were looked after extremely well. Madura, his family and great team of staff were fabulous hosts. Madura made helpful suggestions for local sights and activities and was always responsive to our queries. We particularly enjoyed visiting the local Turtle Sanctuary, a mindful and ethical way to experience these amazing creatures. The beautiful almost deserted beach can be reached via a short track and, whilst the sea is too rough for swimming, there is a delightful rock pool nearby. The room was very clean, and the host's hospitality was incredible—super friendly and attentive. She arranged a tour for us for 18,000 LKR, offered us tea in the morning before we left, and kindly assisted and guided us to our next destination. Without a doubt, highly recommended! The bathroom was also clean, and the room was spotless.

Host picked me up from bus stop which is extremely helpful because it was raining and there were no tuk tuk there. I had to go to Ella later, host provided best guidance how to get direct bus. Host took me on his car to bus stop. Bus stop was quite far. Host ensures I boarded bus safely and then he left. Best host I had ever.

The food at the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced.
