At the guest house, units are fitted with a private bathroom. We stayed 2 nights on this beautiful location with beautiful people. The very nice room was situated in a little house with a nice terrace outside. So clean and looked as a totally new place. The service was brilliant. We got all the help we needed. For example for getting a transfer to the pidurangala ( at 5 0’clock in the morning) and a very good taxi driver who took us to our next location (very long drive/ the taxi driver gave us a roadtrip with visits to special places). The owner is incredibly helpful, offering assistance with scooter or tuk-tuk rentals and organizing local trips. The villa is nestled just 400 meters from the main city street, surrounded by lush paddy fields. The beautifully maintained garden is filled with vibrant plants and flowers, offering plenty of cozy spots to relax—whether in a hammock, at a dining area, or playing table games. Being in the middle of nature, you can expect the delightful sounds of wildlife, including peacocks. It truly adds to the charm of the place. One of the highlights of our stay was the Sri Lankan food. The meals were not only delicious but also generously portioned. I highly recommend skipping outside restaurants and instead asking the staff to prepare dinner for you—you won’t be disappointed!

The breakfast was amazing, there were two couches to chill on and sun beds and the pool was nice and everything was just so accommodating and lovely. We mostly stayed in cheaper places in Sri Lanka but decided to try this one because it looked amazing and it was absolutely worth the money! I really enjoyed staying there.

1.7 km from Sigiriya Rock, Hungry Lion Sigiriya is a recently renovated property situated in Sigiriya and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Guests staying at this guest house have access to a terrace. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk, full-day security and currency exchange for guests. Great hotel! Located close to the road in walking distance to central part of Sigiriya town, but very quiet and peaceful. No noise from road or cafes, and sound insulation between rooms is good. People working here are very welcoming and friendly. Room was spacious and clean, AC worked good. The territory is beautiful with pond and greenery. Breakfast is also tasty and beautifully served.

Offering a garden and garden view, Nature Night Homestay is situated in Sigiriya, 6.5 km from Pidurangala Rock and 1.2 km from Wildlife Range Office - Sigiriya. It is set 3.3 km from Sigiriya Rock and features a 24-hour front desk. The guest house offers rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. By far our favourite homestay in Sri Lanka so far! Breakfast offered is traditional Sri Lankan options and was delicious, we stayed 2 nights and it was different both mornings. We also had dinner both nights we stayed (again different both evenings) and really great value vs. eating out. Location is set back from Main Street which we liked, and really quiet. Room has everything you need, including a hot shower! A lovely seating area to relax before dinner. Couldn’t recommend enough!!
