I loved the friendliness and helpfulness of the host and his family. He was able to help us arrange transportation to/from the guesthouse and also the safari jeep. The location is very quiet despite being by the main road. It’s located some distance from the safari but still relatively close by. we managed to see the elephant and even a leopard! The room itself was clean and well planned, all the basic amenities were provided for us.

They organised a game drive for us (where we saw lots), a river trip and boat ride to our next destination. The rooms and grounds are full of nice, environmentally friendly touches, and the meals are great. Since the centre of the park is a little ways from this gate, a full day game drive turned out to be better than a half day - and allowed usto see lots of elephants at the end of the day.

The location was super calm and you can enjoy the sunset over the rice fields. It was very easy to arrange the half day safari with the hosts.

Green sapphire resort is one of the best hotels we spent in Sri Lanka. Staff, Food, View, Nature, all are superb. And the best part is the safari tour. The hotel arranged us a tour and we had an unforgettable experience with the safari driver. We saw all the animals in the Wilpattu Safari. Leopards, Elephants, Bears etc. The driver has a great experience about the jungle and the roads. We went 3 kinds of safari in Sri Lanka and this was the best. I think this is the best place to go on a wilpattu safari tour. Very good & appreciate it!!

Great place to stay close to the entrance of the park. The host was amazing and cooked us a really delicious dinner! We walked in the afternoon to the lake side where we spotted some crocodiles!
