The pool was clean and at any time accessible, the rooms were tidy, clean, and very spacious. Large balcony, private and quiet. The location was great too. I spent there 2 nights and it was very relaxing. The breakfast was delicious too. Definitely recommend this place. Great value for the money!

Guests can eat in the on-site family-friendly restaurant, which is open for dinner, lunch, brunch and high tea. Very comfortable, clean family run place, I loved it. They also took care and made me good food after a local restaurant had food poisoned me.

The air conditioning worked well plus a strong ceiling fan. The room was clean as well and the host provided an adapter in the room. He also welcomed us with two fresh coconut waters and on the morning of our safari at 5am he was kind enough to make us coffee. On our last day he gave us fresh watermelon slices before checking out. We were also picked up and dropped off from the bus station by the host. Very helpful and kind. Would recommend

Featuring a garden and views of garden, Mailagama Cinnamon Residence is a recently renovated guest house set in Kataragama, 21 km from Situlpawwa. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The guest house also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. This was our second visit to Mailagama Cinnamon Residence and we were truly happy to see again the owners of the hotel, Indira and her husband. The hotel is located in a picturesque place among green rice fields. We loved walking around the area - there are large lakes nearby, and there are few people around, but an incredible number of peacocks. A real kingdom of peacocks. The room was clean and spacious, with a balcony with a great view. There was also a big shared terrace to work online or to do yoga. The fans helped to cope with the heat, which was important for us. We really liked the Srilankan food at the hotel - delicious and served with great elegance. Manager Inbaraj was always attentive and helped us with any questions. On his advice, we visited two temples - Rock Temple where you can see dozens of funny monkeys and Kataragama Maha Devalaya. Both places are interesting and atmospheric, especially the latter, which is famous for its festivals throughout the country. We hope to come back here next year to see the beauty of the nature and to feel the special friendly atmosphere.

Both a bicycle rental service and a car rental service are available at the guest house. Family who take care the place are sooooo nice, treated us like own family. Highly recommend. Surely will stay here for more days.

Spotlessly clean, very comfortable, AC rooms and the hospitality of Priya makes it the best! He helped us arrange the safari in Yala, took us bird and crocodile watching in the evening 😊 and picked us up and dropped us at the bus station. Can’t wait to be back, thanks Priya!

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. We even had a packed breakfast as we had early safaris each day. Cannot praise enough. Make sure you visit the Crocs before you leave!!!
