Το The Opposite Place, που προσφέρει κήπο, είναι στον προορισμό Μελάκα, Μαλάκκα, και απέχει 200μ από Cheng Hoon Teng Temple και 500μ από The Stadthuys. This place was a true haven in the most amazing location - close to the tourist hub, but in a calm and quiet place where you can't hear any of the noise. We could sit out in our balcony/bathroom area and watch sunbirds flying about in the flowers and peer down into the laneways behind. Our room was beautifully decorated with amazing vintage movie posters. Our host Winnie was kind, generous and responsive to messages. We loved entering the building through the plants, walking through the gorgeous cafe and up the stairs to our room. A perfect little romantic getaway. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights here and hope to come back.

The room is very clean and homely decorated. The owner is kind and helpful. She allowed me to check in before the regular check in hour. There are grocery store, restaurants, fruit stand, and laundry facility (using coin) within 10 minutes walking. There is a small communal kitchen on the first floor equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, water filter, and some utensils. That is very convenient.

He runs this guesthouse on his own and keeps it full of history, art, kindness, and warmth. His jokes, advice, and good vibes were the best part of our trip to Melaka. We definitely miss his banana pancakes (especially the black ones, haha). The place is kept clean, and there is enough space both inside and outside the rooms. The air conditioning in each room is a big help with the climate in Melaka. The location is excellent (close to the center but in a quiet neighborhood with good local restaurants nearby). *The Wi-Fi signal is weak, for those who need it.

Its comfy, roomy, and clean living space. Good place to stay under one roof with large family and friends. Just outskirts their main attraction by driving. Fret not about no breakfast. It's all been provided by the host himself. Masyallah. The host, Mr. Luqman, is extremely welcoming and gracious. He waited patiently for our arrival after the allotted hour. Communication with the host is a breeze. I'm glad we took up this offer. 😌 I'm thrilled with it. Will return here without a doubt. We are grateful to Mr Luqman for helping us over our entire stay.
