Lovely friendly couple keen to make our stay pleasurable Continental breakfast includes home made Marmalade and Jam and mueslj which were delicious. Cookies were also great. New towels every day ,we stayed 4 nights and would stay again. My wife is fastidious and found it very clean and cosy.

The Signal Box is perfectly formed- well considered in every way. The setting is amazing, a rural scene overlooking the beautiful Whanganui River. Chickens and ducks, and a wide range of fruit trees lie between the Signal Box and the River. The large trees are home to native birds. There's always something to watch or contemplate on. It is so peaceful. The Signal Box is set up for two people so don't bring the family . You need to be able to climb a flight of stairs to get there but once inside the 180 degree outlook is a wondrous thing. And all of this just 8 minutes drive to town! It would be a great place to have some alone time.

It was very clean and there was everything I needed to cook and plenty of parking space. Arrival was a bit confusing but the host came out and meet us and she was absolutely lovely.

The only thing we needed was food. The milk, a few snacks and sparkling wine was a lovely added bonus. Very happy with the R&R in Waikawa.

The attention to detail and the little extras provided make this place stand out. We can't wait to stay here again 😊
