Wifi signal was strong with two lines, although the provider had a occasional issues but not the hostel's fault. Big kitchen as well as the shared toilets and shower were kept clean. A beautiful courtyard with fruit trees. Staff was friendly and helpful. Fairly close to the main square.

Casa Vieja is very central making it easy to walk or take buses to wherever you want to go. It is a house with two inner yards and the rooms all around. The kitchen is in the middle and is fully equipped . There are sitting areas all around the yard where you can relax and socialise. The room was comfortable, clean with a big bed and hot shower at all times. And the best part of all is Luis the owner who sincerely loves being a good hosst. He goes over and beyond to help with anything you may need. I had to go to the hospital for a vaccine and he offered to come with me and spent 3 hours translating for me and helping me find my way around. And then made great suggestions for tours.. Generally El Salvador is a gem and is an amazing place to visit.

Ivett was very helpful and provided me with a lot of interesting information about El Salvador! Both the manor and the room are tastefully decorated. The weather was pleasant, and for an additional fee for the AC, I gladly spent time on the property. The whole family (with Terry and Pinky! the dogs) was very welcoming

From the moment I arrived, Lucas and the other staff members incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The atmosphere was social but relaxed perfect for meeting other travelers or just chilling out after a day of exploring. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with plenty of storage space. I especially appreciated the attention to detail. The common areas were bright and cozy, and the kitchen was well-equipped.

The other areas were sometimes "dusty" as the owner is in the process of moving from his old location to this one and the old house where he now is needs work. Nevertheless, my stay was comfortable and liked how quiet it was at night. It is a quiet residential neighborhood lacking a bit in terms of food choices, but only a several minute walk where the majority of restaurants and supermarkets are located.

Proper old skool hostel, no fancy bits or paying someone to make you breakfast. You look after yourself. Basic kitchen but more than adequate, basic wc/shower but works well enough. Good social space, nice terrace and location in Santa Ana is 1 min walk to main square and supermarkets/street food. Great coffee shops not far. This hostel is how hostels used to be, a comfy bunk, cheap, friendly, social and you do your own thing. All in all a good experience if you want affordable accommodation.
