I was there on my own on Valentine’s Day and they surprised me with wine and chocolates! 🥰 My room was very comfortable and spacious with a super comfortable King size bed, sofa bed, washing machine, stove, microwave and plenty of wardrobe space. It felt like a second home. It’s very suitable for a lengthy stay.

Our room included a large bed, small bed and couch with coffee table and side table, television,and plenty of dressers and storage area. It had a kitchen/bar section with refrigerator and freezer, microwave, hot plate, coffee/tea pot, sink, etc. It included 2 bathrooms. We had our own outdoor patio with big fireplace to “braai” (bbq) and tables and chairs and lounge chairs, plus access to an outdoor pool with a garden. We really enjoyed our hosts, Pieter and Annie, and their granddaughter Anika. They were so pleasant and very helpful with providing information such as links to laundry services or addressing our television needs. The neighborhood is very safe and there is a wonderful restaurant (Knead) just around the corner for breakfast and lunch. We had a wonderful time!

The garden is beautiful, the location is easy to find and close to points of interest.

Upon arrival we mentioned that we wanted to renew our vows for our anniversary, but had no plans and the team jumped in to arrange a very intimate/romantic day for us and it was better than anything we could have planned to do. It was so special

We have stayed at many guesthouses over the years - both locally (SA) and abroad - but I can't remember being as delighted with everything as I was at the Old Oak Guest House with Gerda. Simply loved everything about it.

We were upgraded free of charge for which we were very grateful. The property is located in a lovely suburb in a quiet street. The room was well appointed and was serviced daily, we enjoyed having fresh towels and a neatly made bed every day. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay, will definitely stay there again.
