It has been many many years since I have stayed in a ** Hotel with my wife. I booked Vehi because of the high ratings, and the centrality of location given my dodgy knees. So, I was very pleasantly surprised by this little gem. The room was lovely, and did everything it was supposed to do. The view was enchanting but most of all, as part of its excellence, was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, who were all with unconditional positive non-possessive warmth and curiosity.

Beautiful location in a restored historic building. Decor a cross between authentic rural and old curiosity shop... ! Plenty of space in the rooms and charming views from the balcony.

Accomodation is situated in a centre of Barcelona. Almost everything is close to it. There are lot of caffeterias located around where you can start a day with breakfast. The staff responds to messages almost immediately, are curious and care about their guests. You do not need a classic key, go to pick it up from somewhere and be limited by time. You just need a mobile phone and easy to use app which you can download from a link that staff send to you.

I enjoyed a very pleasant stay at this hostel. Room was not really modern, but it was clean, each bed has canopy that provides privacy. Shared facilities like kitchen and bathroom were very modern and clean. The location of this hostel is just perfect, most sights are in walk distance. Big advantage is the possibility of breakfast in next-door coffee shop, breakfast contains a toast and a smoothie.

I've stayed in both of this hotels immediate neighbours/competitors, the Hampton and the Congress and would say Hotel Porta Fira would be the winner.

Vividora was in a great location right in the center of the Gothic Quarter but only steps from Las Ramblas. Very quiet and comfortable. We got in early off a cruise but they checked us right in. The staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel was pretty and clean. We upgraded to breakfast and it did not disappoint. Great coffee, pastries and hot items. A big upgrade from your average Hampton Inn! On our last morning the staff made sure we had a cab waiting to take us to the airport even though it was only 5 am.
