The food was good, the children enjoyed. We travelled for a music festival and it did not disappoint. The location and staff friendliness was exceptional, I will definitely recommend Holiday Inn facilities in future.

Solid Holiday Inn about 30mins away from central London. A short walk to the nearby railway station made it an ideal stop. The bedroom was fine, an ok size for two nights, the bed was reasonably comfortable and the shower was ok.

Good location. Being a IHG member enabled a later check out.

Great location by the motorway so easy to travel towards London, staff were ALL fantastic. Great pool, comfortable beds, amazing breakfast. And the hotel itself was beautiful. Definitely the best holiday inn I've stayed at.

Well placed. Spotless. Friendly staff. Warm welcome and great value for money? How do you do it? This was our first Holiday Inn Express experience having used Premier Inns for several years. From now on our ‘go to’ accommodation will be Holiday Inn Express. Please congratulate your Hemel Staff and the Manager in particular.

We found the hotel staff helpful and friendly, particularly Sharon, who was a ray of sunshine and greeted us each morning. It really made our stay such an enjoyable experience. We were so sad when our holiday had to come to an end. Thank you to all of the staff at Holiday Inn Express.

We really enjoyed our stay at Holiday Inn Express Apsly. I happened to mention that it was my wife's birthday and to our surprise, both Helen and Chi arrived at our table with a complimentary bottle of wine, and they then sang 'Happy birthday. We really couldn't thank them enough. We are already planning our next trip in March.

The staff were so so friendly! I arrived pretty late and was preparing for my trip to the Warner studios the next day. The staff on the front desk gave me great tips for beating the morning traffic and thank God they did! The room was great, as I’ve come to expect from Holiday Inn and so was the breakfast. The restaurant over the road was also fantastic if arriving a little later and in need of a pub grub feed!

As the hotel is graded as Express, the breakfast buffet is of limited choice when comparing with other Holiday Inn hotels. But still nourishing anyway. The dining area is very bright thanks to huge windows along two cornered walls one facing the historic paper mill and its unusual modern footbridge over the canal. Staff were very friendly and ready to assist us when we had a minor problem with the tv in our room which was dealt real quickly.
