Lesbia and Julio are very warm and welcoming hosts. They made me feel like at home, we had nice conversations and it was a great pleasure to stay with them for some days. My room was huge with a big balcony directly above the water - very cool! The location is not in the Flores Island but in San Miguel - so if you search for a calmer non touristic area that's your choice! From Flores it is easy to arrive with a small boat in about 5 mins. Also recommended to book the tour to Tikal etc. and transports with them, they offer for a good price. And it is helpful to know some Spanish as their English is limited (but Julio is learning!) 😊 muchas gracias 🥰

We just had the best time there. Probably the best apartment we had so far on our current travels. The hostess is such a lovely lady and help us out with everything, she even did our washing and offered us to help with booking tours. Everyone travelling to Flores we would absolutely recommend the stay at Ximel House! The house is also right next to the lake, Lanchas right infront of your front door.

A great house in a gated community opposite the airport and next door to a good shopping mall. Clean and well equipped comminal kitchen. Ample room with comfy bed, nice linens and hot water in the shower. Airconditioningnin room was perfect. Streaming options available to log into on the Smart TV. Excellent secure parking.

Rosario, the lead staff of Casa Maya Itza is incredibly helpful - she contacted us prior to our arrival & sent helpful information. We booked an airport transfer and she personally came to the airport to receive us! We booked Tikal sunrise and Yaxha sunset tours through her, the prices were the same as if you booked directly with the same tour company but we got shuttle service to fetch us at Casa Maya Itzu! Both tours were excellentl! We had breakfast - it was the best we had in Guatemala, it was carefully prepared and came with a big bowl of cut fruits. Our room has en suite bathroom, air-conditioner worked fast & cool, window view of the lake & sunset and there is free water from the water dispenser at the kitchen. Room is well clean by housekeeping ladies. This is a no frills, homey place with caring staff like Rosario. She woke up at 2.45am to ensure we set out at 3 am for Tikal sunrise tour and again saw us off at 6 am when we were picked up by shuttle for our bus into Belize. This place is an easy walk around the island and to the nearby mall. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an affordable base in Flores, with clean rooms, great breakfast and very caring & helpful staff! Many thanks to Rosario for a very memorable trip in Flores!

Modern facilities, they offer you a good breakfast, they offer you tours at affordable prices, they offer you privacy in the rooms with curtains. They have a small pool to cool off in your afternoon. I was at the Los Amigos hostel and I changed to this one because of the good comments and it is definitely worth it.

The location was very central. Full equipped kitchen with water filter, coffee sugar etc. Nice view of the lake. The apartment was very clean. The hosts were super responsive which was nice. Room had a/c which was also a plus. We got a free upgrade!

Lovely hosts Julio and Lesbia. The place is big, there is kitchen that one can use for cooking. It's on the lake, two minutes from San Miguel boat pier. All in all its great for one days stay at a very reasonable price. Through out I felt completely safe as a, solo female traveller

What a great hostel! The rooftop terrace was amazing, close by some cute restaurants where you could rent a kayak and explore the lake. Staff was super kind and helpfull. The hostel had also a dog and cat and they loved some cuddles. Very clean place, clean and nice showers and bathrooms. Warm water and perfect water pressure. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Great hostel - wonderful location and clean. Staff very friendly - I booked Tikal through them and they advised me on bus to take for my onward journey. If you want to sleep at night I suggest you stay here and if you like you can visit the party hostel nearby. I met people who were staying at the party hostel nearby and they wished they had stayed at Don Cenobio!
