Arirang burst onto the hotel scene less than 3 months ago. Within that short period of time it quickly achieved a nearly perfect review score of 9.7. Though initially a bit sceptical, photos showcasing its hillside beauty soon won us over. And the reality even surpassed our expectations! For one thing the view from the lounge was breathtaking. As was the night vista of the glittering lights of the city and the sea beyond it. A truly magical location that would normally warrant a high price tag. But even more amazing was the warm hospitality of Maria, the manager and her staff. The service here was indeed phenomenal! Nothing was too much for them. We came without our own transport so Maria organized a driver for us at prices we were happy with. We were very touched when she even enlisted her son-in-law to help us despite our reluctance to take advantage. Thank you Maria & Tirte. Both of you were fantastic! Then there was the room. It came with a large, comfortable bed, with a clean attached bathroom. We even had our own kitchenette complete with a sink. There was good functioning WIFI, hot water shower and air-conditioning. All these plus a delicious daily made-to-order breakfast! And did I mention the asking price? Shh! It was incredibly low for what you get! Perhaps the only fly in the ointment was the stairs. You have to go down a level to reach your room. But for us the overwhelming positives of Arirang far outweigh this minor inconvenience. In fact we even viewed it as a chance to get in some exercise after overindulging in the scrumptious food here in Senggigi. So, yes we are no longer perplexed why everyone gushed over this place. Neither would you too if you were to stay here.

What an amazing place! I stayed here for a week with my partner and we were made so welcome by the owner Gill and her lovely staff Nur, Agus and Jae. The villa is wonderfully situated up the hill, just a short 5 minute taxi drive from town, with wonderful views out to sea. The room was immaculate, Nur’s breakfasts were delicious, and the pool and whole property is beautifully designed making for a peaceful oasis like no other. We’ll definitely be back.

Honestly the stay here has elevated our trip and already created some special moments. The stories, warmth and recommendations of Chris. The friendliness of the staff. They have a beautiful garden and a nice swimming pool. The room is spacious with a nice balcony to sit on. Highly recommend to stay here for a few nights

The view. Photos will not do it justice. The pool, the breakfast, the staff Pak Budi & Pak Mamek, Pak Alan, and the personal touch from Jean-Paul & Nury. The beds are big and comfy. It is close to Nipah beach and Mataram and you can organise a day trip to Gilis (North or South) easily. When the steam rises from the treeline canopy below there's a storm on the way, and you can sit back and watch it roll in. And when it clears hop back in the pool and look out on the bay with Bali in the distance. There's a restaurant nearby in Sengiggi - ask Pak Alan for the name.

Very relaxing, friendly and helpful. Loved chatting to management and staff and found other guests very friendly. Enjoyed tasting local food shared by a family from Lombok in the pool area.     The homestay is very well located and the family is super nice and helpful. Whenever you have a question, they help you. You can also hire a scooter, which is useful for exploring the area. All in all, I can only recommend stopping off at this wonderful homestay!

    This homestay was a great location, all shops and restaurants were a 5-10 minute walk away. The staff were so friendly and did my laundry for early in the morning before I left. The bed in the private room was so comfy and spacious and I was given two towels and there were two fans in the room which worked fine without AC. This place is so peaceful and a great place to chill.

    An amazing homestay- beautiful property & gardens. The pancakes and fruit for breakfast were delicious. Chris was really helpful with organising bikes & laundry for us. We did the waterfalls trip & cooking class which were great value for money and some of the best days of our trip so far. Staff were so friendly, would definitely recommend staying here & doing the waterfall and cooking class!
