Nice view of the sea and nice pool. We arrived a little bit late but the owner was very accommodating and even if he wasn't there, we FaceTime and he showed us the place.

Nice quiet place in the forest. Tasty food, good prices. They transported us to Ubud (with stop at Bedugun temple) for reasonable price.

We loved the stay here! The room was clean and we had everything we needed. There was hot water and clean towels. The hosts and staff were wonderful and very helpful. Breakfast was so delicious that we also ate lunch and dinners in the homestay and we highly recommend the food! We also did laundry, everything came fresh and clean :) The location is wonderful to explore Munduk, we did a short trekking from the Homestay to see waterfalls nearby. The view from the home is also amazing :) Cannot recommend enough! :)

It is an exceptional property, the best I had for this value, comfortable, clean, with superb service. Hosts are taking care of all your needs, and even arranged my snorkeling and dolphin view trips. Breakfast is delicious, I miss banana pancakes 😍

Quiet and peaceful location near Munduk - perfect if you want to explore the waterfalls. Staff is incredibly nice and treats you like family. Rooms are clean and full of little detail amenities to make your stay worthwhile - they definitely go the extra mile here. The surrounding nature is beautiful and makes this location perfect for a getaway from the busy streets of Denpasar.

First of all, I would like to thank the owners of this guesthouse again for the wonderful experience! I love their attention to detail - the possibility to refill water bottles, get pool towels, for beautiful decorations of rooms (nice wooden frames and paintings, and small carpets with dolphins) and for making the rooms so comfy. The rooms are perfectly clean and have a kind of private terrace in front of the entry door secluded with palms and greenery, so we had a nice feeling of privacy. The guesthouse is gated, so we felt secure! Also, it has space to park a motorcycle in the gated area. The swimming pool also looks attractive and clean. Breakfast choice is nice (scrambled eggs, omelette, soft-boiled eggs, fried rice and many other options that come with fresh fruits, toasts, real French butter and tea/coffee). The owners are a very friendly couple, which made us feel at home. They provided us with a contact of the local guide, so we could see dolphins the next morning after our arrival! You will feel how much they care for guests, so I highly recommend the place!

Wayan the Owner is caring, genuine and made us feel cared n looked after. He goes out of his way to help. The walk down the valley is pleasant, among trees, we went in search of maya restaurant but couldn’t find it. They do deliveries which Wayan will help you with so that was cool. Best beds, great view. Only two rooms so it’s exclusive. The pool was grrrreat! We loved it to bits n will be back.

We highly recommend Villa Matahari. The owners are very kind and welcoming. The pool area is peaceful and beautiful, with a view of the sea and the jungle. It is the perfect place to stay if you want to visit Munduk while enjoying a sunnier location.
