The room was big, new and clean. Good hot water and water pressure from the shower. There is also a heater in the room which really helps in the evenings at this time of the year. The staff are so helpful and friendly - made our stay an absolute pleasure. They offer really competitive taxi prices. Breakfast is excellent, food at the property is delicious and reasonably priced. Location to the old market is very good. We had such an amazing time at Honey Bee and would recommend for an excellent stay in Ladakh.

Overall there wasn't anything missing from our stay at Thangkop. The rooms were big enough, the breakfast was amazing and cosy and it will be very difficult to find a better host than Wong. His recommendations and advice made every day even better.

We had a truly unforgettable stay at Sponbo guest house, not just because of the beautiful surroundings, but because of the incredibly kind and generous people who run it, especially Mr Norbu. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. The owner went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, especially when we struggled a bit with the high altitude. They offered advice, care, and practical help for acclimatisation, which made a huge difference in our experience. Their knowledge of the area and genuine concern for our well-being was deeply appreciated. The hospitality here is from the heart….. warm conversations, delicious food, and a real sense of being looked after. This place isn’t just a guest house; it’s a haven for travelers. Highly recommended for anyone looking for not just a place to stay, but a place to feel at home.
